Widow Sues Over Husbands Mesothelioma

A widow in Jefferson County, Texas has filed a secondlawsuit against corporations claiming that their negligence caused her husbandto develop mesothelioma.

Willie Mae Denson filed the lawsuit on behalf of herdeceased husband, Elijah Denson Sr. who worked as a carpenter and furnacetechnician. During his work he was routinely exposed to asbestos in hisworkplace. He then developed mesothelioma, a rare cancer that is linked toasbestos.

The lawsuit alleges that Denson Sr. did not know and was notinformed of the dangers of the asbestos materials used at his job. Asbestos istoxic when it is breathed in or ingested by humans.
