Company Recalls 285 Pounds of Sandwiches

Earlier this
morning, the Food Safety and Inspection Service have made a recall on over 275
pounds of ready-to-eat sandwiches. The company, World Class Canapés, Inc., is
based out of Wilmington, Massachusetts and initiated the recall along with the help
of the FSIS. Sources say that the ready to eat chicken and turkey sandwiches
may have been contaminated with Listeria Monocytogenes.

Monocytogenes can cause flue like systems as well as nausea, vomiting, and
diarrhea to any person who might ingest germs such as these. The company has
currently not found any cases of sickness from their sandwiches but anyone who
has a sandwich in their possession is urged to take it back to your local grocery
store to get a refund. The sandwiches were only distributed in the state of
Massachusetts.
