Two New York nursing home incidents shed light on possible staffing issue

An article in My Elder Advocate about two New York nursing home residents has shed light on possible inadequate staffing at nursing homes and how it can lead to serious injury.

The New York nursing home cases were about residents who were supposed to be watched closely for skin disorders. There were supposed to be turned and repositioned frequently to help cure their pressure sores.

However, the pressure sores continued to get worse and the patients both developed renal failure. After interviewing the nursing staff, it was found that it was not abuse they were committing, the staff simply did not have time to give each patient the care they needed.

Nursing home negligence is a serious issue that effects many people. If you would like to learn more about what factors are considered negligence, the nursing home negligence lawyers website has been very helpful for me.
