Band director arrested for drunk driving while on school trip

The band director of a Baytown high school was arrested just before midnight on Monday in San Antonio.

The 62-year-old man is the band director for Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown and was in San Antonio for the state band competition. He has been the school’s band director for 18 years and is now on administrative leave pending the current investigation.

School officials have said that this makes the school look very bad and they will also be conducting their own investigation.
