The Kimberly-Clark Corp. has issued a recall of nearly 1,400 boxes of Kotex tampons after it was discovered that they may be contaminated with a life-threatening bacteria that could cause infection.
The recalled products include the Kotex Natural Balance Security Unscented Tampons Regular Absorbency brand for the 18-count and 36-count packages.
The recalled products have SKU’s of 15063 and 15068 and were distributed to Wal-Mart stores in Missouri, Kansas, New Mexico, Texas, and Nebraska.
They were also distributed to Fry’s stores in Arizona and Smith’s stores in Arizona and Utah. All stores have been asked to remove the product from the shelves. Officials have said that there have been no illnesses reported from the use of the products.
