After 24 injury reports, Fisher-Price Inc. has recalled nearly 11 million infant and toddler items including, high chairs, tricycles and other toys.
Seven kids were injured and needed stitches after receiving cuts from the wooden pegs on the Fisher-Price high chair. Six other reports came from injuries to six little girls under the age of 3 who experienced genital bleeding after falling against the plastic ignition key on the Fisher-Price tricycle.
Other toys that are included in the recall, baby toys and soft gyms, have not had any injury reports, but there has been many close calls reported. For example, there have been reports of the valves on the wheels detaching from the Fisher-Price Little People Wheelies Stand ‘n Play Rampway and become a choking hazard.
If your child has any of these products, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission urges you to take them away and contact Fisher-Price for replacement items.
