A jury convicted a Weatherford man of his 9th DWI and sentenced him to life in prison.
The man pleaded guilty to charges that stem from an arrest in August 2009. The 54-year-old man had a blood alcohol level of 0.45 roughly an hour after a car accident that occurred on the evening he was arrested. The accident only involved his vehicle and occurred south of Weatherford.
The man has previously been convicted of three misdemeanor DWI charges and and five felony DWI cases. The man must serve 15 years in prison before being eligible for parole. The jury hopes that this sentence will no longer allow the man to cause danger in the community by driving drunk.
